Description

1897 - 1900 MacWhannell and Rogerson. Large villa, built as the manager's house of the Carron Iron Company.

2 storeys, asymmetrical, rock-faced ashlar with contrasting list-coloured dressings; windows mostly sash and case with multi-paned upper sashes; deep-eave slate roofs with red ridging tiles. One main entrance front, near-centre pedimented doorway, projecting gable to left with stone-balconied 1st floor door; to right, 2-storey large and wide canted window, transomed and mullioned. Multi-paned roof dormer; deep-corniced stacks. Parapetted semi-circular bow at rear.
