Description

Earlier 19th century. Symmetrical single storey 3-bay cottage. Dressed whinstone with ashlar dressings; crow-stepped gables; chamfered arrises; bipartite windows with Tudor hoodmoulds.

Boarded door at centre with flanking windows. Window to N gable; plain single window to S gable. Harled extension with lead roof to rear. Timber sash and case plate glass windows. Grey slates; coped ashlar stack at centre of ridge.

Coped rubble wall to immediate SE.

Statement of Interest

B Group with Jedfoot Lodge (see separate listing). These cottages

stand at the former E entrance to Montevoit house and their walls are joined as one. The road used to pass immediately by them.
