Description

Mid 19th century; cottages earlier 19th century. 2-storey, Z-plan, 3-bay farmhouse with row of adjoining single storey and attic cottages comprising one 2-bay and one 3-bay cottage. Farmhouse; painted stugged coursers, painted ashlar dressings, harled to side and rear, slate roof piended to rear. Base course, margined angles, eaves course. 10-lying-pane sash and case windows with painted ashlar margins. Ashlar-coped skews; coped ridge and gable stacks. Cottages; painted rubble, painted ashlar dressings, modern concrete tile roof. 2-pane sash and case windows with painted ashlar margins, gabled dormers. Corniced ridge stack, coped end stack.

FARMHOUSE, FRONT ELEVATION: 2-leaf panelled door to centre with astragalled fanlight and margined doorcase, window to 1st floor, window to ground and 1st floor right; gable advanced to left with window to ground and 1st floor; window to ground and 1st floor at left return elevation.

FARMHOUSE, REAR ELEVATION: small window to ground floor centre, stair window above, window to left; recessed bay to right with single storey pentice-roofed bay at re-entrant, window to 1st floor.

COTTAGES, FRONT ELEVATION: cottage to left, window and door with astragalled fanlight, dormer; cottage to right, door at centre with porch, window to left and right return gable, further gabled addition to rear with 3 flight holes.

COTTAGES, REAR ELEVATION: various winodws, modern box dormer.

INTERIORS: not seen.
