Description

Earlier 19th century. Pair of 2-storey, 3-bay houses, in terrace.

Harled. Painted dressings: base course; quoin strips; narrow eaves course; raised margins.

E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: each house with door at centre, and window in outer bays to both floors.

S ELEVATION: adjoined to lower building, No 68 Main Street.

N ELEVATION: adjoined to lower building, No 74 Main Street (see separate listing).

Sash and case windows, with plate glass glazing to No 70, and 4-pane glazing to No 72. Red sandstone coped skews to N and S. Gablehead stacks to N and S, and ridge stack between houses. Small grey slates.
