Description

18th century. Square-plan 2-stage dovecot with pyramid roof. Thinly harled rubble with large droved squared rubble quoins. Rat course/alighting ledge.

SE ELEVATION: low door to centre at ground, diminutive semicircular recess with 3 flight holes and alighting ledge above and small dormer-pedimented loft with 3 tiers of 3 flight holes.

SW ELEVATION: small 2-hole flight port to centre immediately above alighting ledge.

NW ELEVATION: small square window opening to centre.

INTERIOR: stone nesting boxes.

Statement of Interest

Glendoick House is listed under Kinfauns Parish. The roof and weathervane were severely damaged in storms (2000).
