Description

Later 19th century, probably Samuel Barham. High single
storey, 2-bay, twin gabled building with entrance in south
return elevation. All rendered concrete. 2 large 2-light
windows in east front; multi-pane glazing throughout; centre
ridge stack with pronounced cornice; slate roofs.
Interior; all original laundry fittings including boiling
"coppers", spin dryer fitted into concrete floor and cranked
by handle, 6 heated wall drying cabinets, sinks, stove for
heating flat irons.

Laundry included in listing for wealth of original laundry

fittings. Laundry transported to and from mansion by horse

and cart.
