Description

Circa 1825-35, single storey and attic house over raised
basement, 3 bays.
Rubble with ashlar dressings. Slightly advanced centre
bay (SW) with low parapet and centre door with moulded
architrave masked by later barge-boarded and glazed timber
porch. Band course and lintel course; long and short
angle margins; 2 bay flanks with 2 piended dormers each
flank; 2 blind windows SE. Centre piended projecting
wing to rear with doorway; paired corniced stacks; piended
platform slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Sloping site makes Heathmount 2 storeyed to rear. Possibly

that property improved by the second William Mackintosh of

Geddes "... on the largest (neighbouring) farm there are

erected a substantial steading of offices and a capital

mansion house.
