Description

Mid 18th century. 2-storey, rectangular plan pavilion with altered openings. Random rubble with red harling and piended ashlar margins.

N ELEVATION: 3-bay. Doorway moved from centre to outer right bay. 1st floor lights under eaves; additional enlarged windows.

E AND W ELEVATIONS: 2-bay with openings grouped centrally.

S ELEVATION: irregular openings with original doorway to outer right.

12-pane glazing pattern to some sash and case windows with some 4-pane and plate glass; modern glazing to casement windows. Piended slate roof with sweeping eaves and centre stack.

Statement of Interest

Absent from 1739 plan, therefore later. Partially mirrors Balgone Coach House, the N pavilion. Remains of rubble quadrants adjoining Balgone House to NE.
