Description

Later 19th century. 2 storey asymmetrical farmhouse with symmetrically planned steading set into slope to north. Square whinstone with contrasting long and short ashlar dressings. South elevation of house:

2 bays, door to right approached by steps, 1st floor window with gabled dormer head above; left bay is advanced and gabled with single windows. West elevation almost identical, minus door, bipartites in left bay. 12-pane glazing. Straight skews; apex stacks with tall chimney pots; slate roof. South elevation of steading: 2-storey central range links

taller 3-storey 2-bay piended and slightly advanced end blocks, single segmental-arched cart opening in left block; latter extends to north by 10 bays (4 to north, perhaps a later addition with large rectangular openings). Modern buildings to rear.
