Description

Rubble walled burial ground enclosing site of former church.
Various burial enclosures with memorials of 17th, 18th and
early 19th century date, probably incorporating materials
from old church. 18th century and substantial tombstones.
Pair square tooled ashlar gatepiers with shallow pyramidal
caps flank entrance, closed by pair cast-iron carriage gates.

Statement of Interest

Dunbars of Burgie commemorated in one burial enclosure, the

earliest plaque dated 164?. Another enclosure probably used

by Dunbars of Blervie.
