Description

Dated 1756. 2-storey, 3-bay house with later wings. Harled,
tooled ashlar margins. Main entrance re-cast to rear;
former door in centre S front with modern carved crested
stone shield above.
Earlier 19th century, tall 2-storey, W wing with circa
1872 projecting canted bay window; later 19th century single
storey and attic E wing. Varied glazing.
Coped end and ridge stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Right hand skewputt of original house dated; initials II

for John Innes on left Skewputt. John Innes the second

surviving son of Sir Harry Innes of Innes and Jean Forbes

of Culloden; he was an officer in the army who died in 1777.
