Description

1832. Tall tapering tower of 5 stages, Greek cross plan, top
stage slightly corbelled out with splays in angles. Squared
granite, rock-faced masonry at ground floor, simple cornice
over openings. Crenellated parapet. Originally fitted up as
an observatory, but not completed.

Statement of Interest

Landmark: Note: Meethill House is 18th century, but

Victorianised. Bellevue Cottage has also been of interest but

has a modern mansard roof.
