Description

Circa 1884. Single storey and attic picturesque rustic lodge.
Rubble walling, painted raised margins. Central doorway with
timber gabled porch, panelled door. Bipartite windows to
ground, pair of gabled bipartite dormers break through roof,
all windows sash and case, now boarded up. Deeply overhanging
slate roofs with decorative pattern of fish-scale slates. Red
ceramic cresting, corniced end stacks.
Gatepiers: 4 rusticated ashlar gatepiers with ball finials
arranged in inner and outer pairs linked by curved wall.

Part of B group with Airds of Parton House and Stables.

Peddie and Kinnear designed. Airds of Parton House, the lodge

and gatepiers may also be to their designs.
