Description

Circa 1830. 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse, with low single
storey east wing. South elevation: house built of cherry-
caulked whinstone blocks, with red ashlar dressings.
Central Roman Doric-columned doorcase (painted); recessed
panelled door with decorative fanlight; margined windows
with 12-pane sashes. Base course; eaves course and cornice.
Coped end stacks; red ashlar battered square flues; piended
slate roof. East wing also mostly cherry-caulked whinstone
with ashlar dressings, 4 irregular bays linked to taller
outer gable, forestair on east wall of latter to gabled
loft opening.
