Description

Late 18th/early 19th century. Farmhouse and steading built
around quadrangular cobbled courtyard. All whitewashed.
SOUTH RANGE: largely 2-storey 3-bay house with central porch
and end stacks; wide 4th bay to west with garage door
inserted and single window above; built of brick, harled
(except to courtyard) with slightly segmental-arched openings
in painted margins; brick nogging at eaves; forestair to
courtyard at west.
West range built of brick at north end (remainder
rubble-built) with scrolled skewputts, apsidal former
horsemill and 2 gabled loft doors to west. North and east
steading ranges and piended courtyard block all lower and
rubble-built. All roofed with graded slates.
