Description

Mid 19th century. Rustic, timber-built summerhouse.
Octagonal-plan; shallow-pitch conical roof supported on tree
trunks, bays constructed with split logs; entrance to north,
window openings in flanking bays (openings all with bell-cast
shaped arched heads). Slate roof.
Interior: walls faced with split twigs, forming geometric
patterns; seats, along walls, made of matting. Cobbled floor.
