Description

Late 18th/early 19th century with additions later. 3 sides of
quadrangle (covered in 1966) whin rubble with sandstone
dressings, segmentally arched cart sheds down E. facade. N.
wall has interesting round byre and later horse-mill;
underground water wheel of over 20' diameter filled in 1966.

Statement of Interest

C group. Of value mainly as part of setting of castle. The N.

front of the steading is particularly important in this

respect.
