Description

1782. Plain rectangle, partly harled, partly stuccoed.
2-window each gable, 2 arched windows flanked by window
on W. and door on E. S. wall. Plain interior, simple E.
gallery on marbled posts, original pulpit. Ceiling originally
plain, gothic bracing added in Victorian times.

Statement of Interest

One of the oldest congregations of Secession origin in

Scotland. Originally Antiburgher, established 1740 first

church 1743. See small U.P. Congs. II p.606.
