Description

Part perhaps late 17th century extended westwards and
interior remodelled c. 1740/65. Originally 2-storey 9-window
harled, margins with chamfer: 2 western windows replaced by bay
window c. 1860, skews renewed etc; moulded doorpiece with
gablet over left rough; gable at back. W. addition 1928.
Woodwork largely original mid 18th century; fine panelled
drawing (now bed) room at 1st pedimented over-mantel;
staircase has good twisted balusters.

Statement of Interest

Belonged to the Oliphants of Gask. Sold to a Mr. Watt after

1746; the interior work and the W. part (perhaps whole

house?) probably dates from his ownership.
