Description

James Playfair 1792-3. Neo-classical, rectangular plan with very broad base; rusticated masonry heavily pulvinated; wide corniced pedimented roof. Arched N. doorway, no other openings.

Statement of Interest

A fairly complete early 19th century group with a few houses possibly of late 18th century date. The general character has suffered a good deal from the poor quality of the stone which has deteriorated badly.
