Description

Stone coffin with lid detached, Alexander inscription on end.
Collection of architectural fragments mostly mediaeval
but with a few surplus stones from the palace.

Statement of Interest

A further collection of fragments is to be found on the

walk to the Pinetum. The coffin was found in 1841 during the construction of the terrace.
