Description

18th century: probably incorporating 17th cent. work
Georgian L-plan. 2 storeys. Harled; slate and shingle
roofs. 2 large semi-circular bays to main block at
front and 1 at rear. Tower in re-entrant angle. Windows
have panelled internal shutters. Stone channel under house,
like a mill lade.

Statement of Interest

Domestic. Formerly the seat of MacNeils of Taynish late of

Campbell of Inverneil mansion.

Damaged by fire December 1955, and restored. Now empty.
