Thomas Telford, engineer, John Brownlie, master mason. Built after 1823. Single segmental-span ashlar bridge over South Calder water. Pilaster strips flank arch; band course above. Splayed and sloping abutments.
One of a series of similar Telford bridges built in Lanarkshire, this on Lot 6 (Bogside) Section of the new North and South Lanarkshire Road. Contract to build signed 7 October 1823. Now by-passed by new Road, and is longer in use. Also in Cambusnethan Parish.
