Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan cottage. Snecked rubble, painted window margins, harled stacks, grey slate roof.

S ELEVATION: 3-bay cottage at left; door at centre with narrow fanlight, plate-glass sash and case window at left and right. Slightly lower 2-bay cottage at right; door at left, 12-pane sash and case window at right.

Statement of Interest

There is a small, U-plan steading at the rear of the cottages, rubble built with some brick inner walls and grey slate piended roof. See Ballumbie House. East Cottage is listed as a component of the group at Ballumbie Gardens.
