Description

Probably 19th century. Skye-type thatched cottage with
outbuildings. Cottage: single storey; long east front with
central door. Rubble-built slightly battered walls with
curved angles. End stacks. Muran thatch roof, secured with
netting and stone weights.
Barn to north and byre to rear, both rubble-built and
thatched with east-facing doors. Substantial gabled
outbuilding to west, beyond, is rubble-built with concrete
dressings and corrugated iron roof (post 1878).

Statement of Interest

All shown on 1st ed. O.S. (surveyed 1878 except corrugated

iron-roofed outbuilding. Cottage and steading form an A

group.
