Description

Circa 1840. 5-bay cartshed and granary as N range of farm

steading, converted for residential purposes. Squared and snecked cream sandstone rubble, droved ashlar dressings. 5 segmental cart arches to N, with granary opening above each arch; 3 arches currently blocked as windows, and granary openings glazed. Hayloft door in E gable. Wide bay raised in swept dormerhead at rear. Pantiles. Ashlar coped

skews. Skylights. Pantile coping to adjoining walls.

Statement of Interest

Listed C(S) despite alterations, in consideration of prominent position and for providing unusual instance of steading sited in village centre.
