Statement of Interest

Built as the Pencaitland Miners Welfare Institute, after a levy authorised by the mining industry act 1920, the design included billiard and reading room, and accomodation for meetings. It is now suitably redesignated as workshop, and listed C(S) for its contribution to Pencaitland's recent history.
