Description

18th century. Circular section 2-stage dovecot. Sandstone rubble with rat course and string course remains of former battlemented parapet. Door to S with formerly barred, ventilation slit above. 2 Narrow flightholes to E and W with ashlar lined jambs, set higher in 2nd stage. Shallow stone domed roof.

Interior not seen (1989).

Statement of Interest

A similar, circular section dovecot, retaining its battlement parapet, can be found at Elvingstone House, directly to E. B Group with House, Coach House and Cottage.
