Description

Later 18th century. NE and NW walls of garden which falls away to woodland and River Ayr to S. Red rubble sandstone walls, ashlar coping, pointed-arch entrance to NE with stepped parapet and 2 ball-finials.

Statement of Interest

The garden is cultivated and consists of a small formal area with kitchen garden and an extensive landscaped area with specimen trees. See NOTES to Old Barskimming. Old Barskimming Sundial and Barskimming New Bridge are listed in Stair parish.
