Description

Estate shooting lodge, built in stages, 19th and 20th century. Asymmetrical block. One and two storeys; harled walls and stacks; modern glazing; slate roofs. REAR WING: may comprise the earliest surviving work (?possibly early 19th century); symmetrical single storey 3-bay west front, outer windows shallows recessed in large Tudor-arched panels, centre round-arched attic window in centre wall-head gable. Range adjoining (ie at SW corner of block), which is deeper in plan, appears to be slightly later in date, and reproduces idea of round-arched attic window in centre gable (on south front, this time); porch on west gable. Range adjoining, to east, is taller, 2 full storeys, early 20th century in appearance.
