Description

Late 18th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay house with single storey L-plan outbuildings to rear and single storey piend-roofed addition to E; prominently sited at road junction with Main Street.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorpiece with bracketted pediment at centre; modern panelled door with fanlight glazing; boot-scraper to right of doorway; single window at 1st floor above. Bipartite windows at both floors in bay to left. Single windows to both floors in bay to right. Single storey piend-roofed addition to E (no openings to street).

W (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: blank elevation to house; single storey outbuildings adjoining with garage opening.

E ELEVATION: piend-roofed addition advanced at ground; blank above. 4-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, piended to W, gabled to N and E; harled wallhead and gablehead stacks; large skylights to S and W; solar panels to S; piend-roofed dormer to N; beak skewputts.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble whinstone boundary wall to Grafton Court.
