Description

Circa 1860. Single storey, 3-bay cottage with lower addition to W. Coursed rubble sandstone with contrasting stugged and droved dressings. N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced gabled bay to centre; boarded door; stone consoles and pentice canopy above; round-headed blind opening set in steeply-pitched gablehead; single windows in flanking bays. Lower single storey wing recessed to outer right.

E ELEVATION: doorway with boarded door to lower wing.

W ELEVATION: blank.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 1993.

Windows boarded over. Grey slate roof; stone coping to gables octagonal gablehead stacks to E and W; block skewputts.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

Statement of Interest

The cottage is located 3km W of Milnathort, and is currently (1993) derelict. Finderlie Farm is listed separately (Item 25).
