Description

A N Paterson and Stoddart, circa 1920. War memorial situated in village green outside S wall of Church of Scotland churchyard.

Granite with polished granite dressings. Celtic cross with panels

of interlacing; wreath on lowest panel of shaft. Names inscribed

on pedestal base; lowest panel "greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friend". Polished granite at base of cross

BOUNDARY WALL: low rubble wall with harl pointing and semicircular rubble coping surrounds memorial; 2 steps lead up to memorial.
