Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey, 4-bay cottage, in terrace. Aberdeen bond cherry-caulked masonry; finely hewn coursed blocks of varied shades, with whinstone pinning. Granite lintels, cills and rybats.

E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: doorway in bay to left of centre; modern door. Boarded door in bay to outer right, with right jamb flush with adjoining elevation. Windows in bays to outer left and to right of centre.

S ELEVATION: adjoined to No 11 Main Street (see separate listing).

N ELEVATION: adjoined to slightly higher building, No 15 Main Street (see separate listing). Plate glass glazing in sash and case windows. Broad partly rendered rubble mutual stack, with cherry-caulked granite quoins, to S. Purple slates.
