Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house, with shop at ground; paired with Nos 5, 7 and 9 The Square (see separate listing). Rubble. Painted margins.

N (THE SQUARE) ELEVATION: door, with 2-pane fanlight, at centre. Shop front in bay to left, with central door and flanking windows. Window in bay to right at ground floor. Regular fenestration at 1st floor. Flat-roofed 3-light dormer windows above outer bays.

E ELEVATION: adjoined to Nos 17 and 19 The Square.

W ELEVATION: paired 12-pane sash and case windows to ground and 1st floor. 12-pane glazing in sash and case windows: plate glass display windows. Red sandstone coped skews, mutual to E. Rubble stacks, gablehead to W, mutual to E. Purple slates. Octagonal cans.
