Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 7-bay coachhouse, pend at centre with stables to left, coachman's house to right. Squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Depressed arched pend in advanced, pedimented bay; blind bulls-eye window to pediment.

STABLE RANGE: 3 bays to left; door to centre with windows flanking, 3 small windows under eaves at 1st floor. Droved floor and stall partitions inside at ground.

COACHMAN'S HOUSE: 3 bays to right; ground floor as above, 2 windows at 1st floor raised to piended dormerheads; window to outer right now blocked, 2 dormerheads at 1st floor to rear.

Sash and case windows, predominantly 12-pane glazing pattern. Graded grey slates, coped ashlar skews, ashlar ridge and stacks.

GARAGE: at right angles to S, circa 1930. Wooden garage workshops, porte cochere supported by wooden bracketed columns, large, sliding, half-glazed doors to N and W. Constructed with inspection pits in concrete floor inside. Overhanging eaves, timber Kingpost detail to gablehead zinc roof.
