Description

James Abernethy, engineer, dated 1864. 2-span cast-iron roadbridge over river Ythan. 2 cross-braced columns at centre supporting parallel main girders and concrete deck (deck originally timber). Stone abutments with splayed approaches. Original cast-iron parapet replaced with timber.
