Description

Farm square in existence c. 1780 and shown on estate map 1829, mid-Victorian additions. Nearly symmetrical block with central Italianate tower, screen walls and gables to outer ranges. Ashlar, slate roofs, hipped with finial to tower; tower with 3-light top storey, arched recesses first floor, square-headed openings with dipmoulds to

ground floor. Screen walls with similar blind windows, elliptical carriage arches (right hand blind) and blind round-headed windows in outer gables. East range with centre gable and lying-pane glazing, dormers and banding doors. Ruinous buildings to courtyard.

Statement of Interest

Sited to NW of Castle and now adopted for use by Mull Little Theatre.
