Description

1786-8 Peter Stuart, Campbeltown, builder. Repaired 1820 by Robert Stevenson. 5 contiguous blocks. 1 storey. Ashlar, painted platform roofs behind parapets. Small round-capped tower. Small flat-roofed addition. Piended block across road.

Statement of Interest

One of first 4 Lighthouses built for Commissioners for Northern Lighthouses. Upgraded, Cat B to A, 7 April 1998.
