again 1894 and 1914 A. Marshall Mackenzie; bookstack Alex.
Cruickshank 1943. Ivy Tower: 17th century. 4-storey circular
rubble built partly enclosed in Mathieson buildings. Cromwell
Tower: Begun 1657. Reconstructed John Smith 1825-6. 4-5
storey (reconstructed from 6, ceilings raised) rectangular,
battlemented top.

Elphinstone Hall and classrooms;
A. Marshall Mackenzie and Son (A.G.R. Mackenzie) 1927-9,
alterations and additions G. Bennet Mitchell 1956. 1/2-storey
late Scots gothic ashlar with cloister feature.
Wing connecting Elphinstone Hall and Library; G. Bennet
Mitchell 1952, 2-storey ashlar, simple late mediaeval style.
