Description

Dated 1879. 4-storey and attic building on curve of street
with prominent semi-octagonal angle capped by tall facetted
fishscale slate roof with 2 tiers of dormers and crowning
cupola ventilator. 6 bays to Bath Street with off-centre
wallhead gable enclosing diminutive bipartite and apex stack;
3 dormers; small quadrant facing Windmill Brae; 4 stepped
bays to Bridge Place with wallhead gable. Stugged granite
with fine-tooled dressings. Modern doors. Windows in ground
and 1st floors of corner bipartite with cast-iron columns;
all others single-light with rounded upper angles; sash and
case windows, plate glass. Corbelled shallow parapet. Slate
roof.
