Description

Built around 1746. Three-storey, two-window, granite ashlar house. Hipped and slated roof. Wallhead chimneystack on each side. Pair of square-plan granite gatepiers with ball finials.

Statement of Interest

The 1778 disposition record states that the property was granted by Alexander Smith, Square Wright on Spittle, to Thomas Allerdyce, shoemaker in Gilcomston, on the eighth day of August, one thousand seven hundred and forty six .
