Description

Later 19th century temple-fronted rectangular-plan church on
corner site; treatment shows influence of Alexander Thomson
and "Thomsonesque" buildings in the west. Granite, Temple
front faces Skene Street, rock-faced podium, giant Ionic
pilasters support main entablature, pilaster-mullioned
2-light windows, in 2 tiers, threaded behind giant order.
Porch shallow-recessed on either flank; tall windows to
flanks and deep frieze facing Esslemont Avenue and
iron-railed boundary with street; vestry door also opens in
to Esslemont Avenue; tall apse behind.
Slate roof.
