Description

Alexander Ross, 1889. 3-stage clock tower (square on plan);
mixed granite rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Round-headed
archway through base at NE and SW; blind arch in other
2 faces. Paired blind Romanesque arcades in each 3rd stage face;
clock faces; shallow pyramidal slate roof.
Armorial shield under bishop's mitre set in SW face.

Statement of Interest

Aberlour Orphanage 1875 founded by Canon Jupp of St Margarets

Episcopal Church, Aberlour. Clock Tower only survives

on site of former extensive range.
