Description

Circa 1780. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay (originally 5-bay) tenement, forming part of terrace. Sandstone rubble. Painted margins to openings.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: steps to 2 central round-arched keyblocked doorpieces; recessed timber doors; decorative fanlights; single window to outer right (2 single windows to left infilled); 3 single windows at 1st floor (2 single windows infilled). 2 bipartite dormers to left, single (lower) dormer to right.

NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: relieving arch at ground to outer left; 3 single windows at ground floor, 2 single windows at 1st and attic floors (earlier windows at ground and 1st floor infilled).

Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows (4-pane casement windows attic and ground floor to outer left of NW elevation, small opening to side of dormer to right). Grey slate roof; stone skews; rooflight; coped stacks; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
