Description

Late 18th century. 3-storey, 5-bay tenement with commercial premises at ground floor on corner site. Painted ashlar; harl to SW (High Street) elevation. Eaves course.

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central round-arched keyblocked entrance; additional blocks at springing line; timber door; fanlight; timber door and letterbox fanlight to public bar to left, 2 single windows to outer left at ground; entrance to outer right of shopfront to right; glazed timber door; letterbox fanlight; shopfront window to left. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

SW (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: blank elevation. Evidence remains of earlier adjoining structure.

Modern glazing at ground floor; plate glass timber sash and case windows at 1st floor (12-pane to penultimate bay to right); 12-pane to 2nd floor. Grey slate roof; rooflight; corniced stacks; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
