Description

Later 18th century, altered mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement. Render, rubble to side. Chamfered surrounds and cills to 1st floor windows.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: timber door and letterbox fanlight to central entrance; flanking shopfronts; glazed timber door to left, shop window to right, to shop to right; central glazed timber door to shopfront to left; letterbox fanlight; flanking shop windows. Regular fenestration at 1st floor; 2 piended dormers at attic.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows at 1st floor, 4-pane at attic. Grey slate roof; coped brick stacks; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.

The street was developed along the lines of a lane in the 19th century, to give access to a new Butter Market on its N side.
