Description

Circa 1820, with later alterations. Single storey former coach-house and stable. Rubble built. Eaves course; strip quoins.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central arched entrance; timber doors; ball-finialled pediment above with figurine within; single louvred window to left.

NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: central Venetian window flanked by porthole windows (all infilled).

SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: central louvred timber door.

SW (REAR) ELEVATION: square-headed central entrance.

Louvred openings. Slate piend roof. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

Statement of Interest

In grounds of 35 Racecourse Road (see separate list description), marked as Eaton Villa on Ordnance Survey map, 1858. Notable for its distinctive ball-finialled pediment containing sculpted figure.
