Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement with commercial premises at ground floor. Painted ashlar. Shopfront cornice; cornice; blocking course.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: entrances to outer left and right. Glazed timber door to left, sidelight to left; letterbox fanlight; 2-leaf glazed timber door to right; louvred letterbox fanlight; shop window between at centre. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors. Single piended dormers to outer right and left at attic.

Shop window at ground. Plate glass timber sash and case windows at upper floors. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead stacks; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Good example of early 19th century classically inspired architecture, with broad gablehead stacks.
