Dated 1897, alterations by J & H V Eaglesham, 1907. 3-storey, 5-bay Baroque Freestyle public house with circular corner bay rising into 3-bay drum forming ogee dome. Red ashlar, painted at ground. Base course; string course to fascia; cill courses; cornice; blocking course. Gibbsian keystoned corniced windows at 1st floor.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: grouped 1-3-1. Ionic half-columned central doorpiece; 2-leaf timber door; fanlight; flanking single windows; single window to outer right; timber door to outer left. Regular fenestration to 1st and 2nd floor; pediment to 1st floor central window. Lozenge bay at ground to outer right, single windows flank bipartite window at centre; pilasters form consoles to 3-bay drum to window to right. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors; 2nd floor windows corniced with long and short surrounds; decorative consoles divide cartouche panels above; broad eaves; ogee dome; finial.
NE (KYLE STREET) ELEVATION: single bay. Ionic half-columned doorpiece to outer left; timber door; fanlight; single window to left. Regular fenestration to 1st and 2nd floors. Balustraded parapet.
Timber sash and case windows (9-pane to ground, 6-pane to 1st and 2nd floors, to upper sashes). Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped stacks; circular cans.
INTERIOR: elaborate cornice to compartmental ceiling; foliate capitals to pillars; keystones to arches; elaborate mutuled fireplace with shouldered panel of lion, reads 'Robori. Prudentia. Praestat.'
